Aamir, Hafeez return for Sri Lanka T20s

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) national selection committee, headed by Inzamam-ul-Haq, has announced the 16-man Pakistani team for the Twenty20 series against Lanka.

The experienced all-rounder M Hafeez has returned to the T20 side, as the circuit board has just made a change in the team last month on the world-famous World XI side in Lahore. Fast Bowler Sohail Khan has been dropped from the team, while experienced all-rounder M Hafeez has made a comeback in the national T20 team.

M Aamir, who was not part of the World XI, also managed to get into the 16-man team. The 25-year-old suffered a shin injury during the second test in Dubai, but he is admitted to the team after the rehab, hoping that he will recover in time. The availability of Aamir for the national T20 is dependent on its fitness release.

The all-rounder Amir Yamin has also been recalled after his performance in domestic games. Yamin played his last international match against England in the United Arab Emirates in 2015. Sohail played two matches against the World XI and took three passes together (2/28 and 1/44). This does not seem to be enough to the selection committee of Inzamam-ul-Haq.

The three games of the Twenty20 series will enter into force from 26 October 2017 onwards. The third and last T20 event takes place on 29 October in Lahore.

Despite the fact that the Sri Lankan board has officially confirmed, he will send his team for the game, while some important players, including Skipper Upul Tharanga and Lasith Malinga, will miss the game for security reasons.

In the meantime, PCB announced to offer tickets for seven of the Gaddafi stadium’s facilities for sale. The prizes range from Rs 1,500 to Rs 5,000 for the third T20 game in Lahore on October 29 while the first two games of the series will take place in Abu Dhabi.

The highest price for the VIP ticket is Rs 5,000 for the Wasim Akram housing, VIP tickets for Rs 3,000 are available for Imran Khan and Fazal Mehmood housing. After that, the next category is a first-class category for which the tickets of Rs 1,500 are available for up to four supplements including Javed Miandad, Rajas, Abdul Qadir and AH Kardar. The sources said the general booths cards are likely to soon be available in as low as Rs 500.
